After graduating with her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Yelena Obholz earned her D.D.S. degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Then, she did advanced work in periodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics during her residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Before opening her own dental office in North Bethesda, she worked in private practice in Maryland. Dr. Obholz takes many continuing education classes every year so that she can keep her dental skills up to date. For example, currently she is enrolled in the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Obholz lives in Kensington, MD with her husband and three children.
Born and raised in the small town of Bucay in Abra, Philippines, Donna has several years of experience in the dental field and counting. She graduated from Wheaton High School in 2014 and later went on to gain hands-on training in dental assisting. She also earned her certifications in CPR and radiology. Her favorite thing about her job is helping patients improve their dental health and seeing their confident smiles when they walk out the door. Outside of the office, Donna has a large extended family that she loves spending time with whenever possible. Her hobbies involve photography, painting, hiking, and spending time with her dog. One fun fact about her: she makes the best apple and blueberry pies!
Nevenka comes to us all the way from Nova Gorica, Slovenia! She moved to America in 1993 when her husband was recruited to coach the American Kayaking Team. Today, she has been in the dental world for over 25 years, and she loves meeting new patients and making them feel calm and comfortable every time they come in. The mother of two adult sons, she likes to spend her free time paddleboarding, biking, hiking, traveling, and finding new recipes to experiment with in the kitchen.
Originating from El Salvador, Armando feels extremely rewarded to have the chance to help patients with dental anxiety by creating a pleasant and comfortable experience for them when they visit. With half a decade of experience in the dental field and counting, you can find him around the office working alongside the dentist during procedures and making sure every person receives the highest level of care possible. Outside the office, Armando lives with his best friends and their Siberian husky named Bruno. He enjoys things like cooking, reading, learning about technology, listening to Beyoncé, and everything about Harry Potter. One fun fact about him: he’s trilingual and can speak Spanish, English, and Italian!
